After having the car for one week I have not really done anything but drive it a few times. Here is what I have noted so far:
Engine:
Starts immediately…idles a bit rough, but idles.
Lots of torque from a stop, but hits a brick wall about 4k RPM.
Can smell oil burning on high speed downshifts.
On a scale of 1 to 10 I give the engine a 6. It runs, is reliable, but its nothing earth shaking as far as performance goes.
Electrical:
Has a new battery and altenator. High Beams are not working. Dash lights dont work at night. gauges go haywire when the turn signals are on. Probably a weak or missing ground. Heater works, but the vent cannot be fully closed. Heater temp is not high, more warm than hot. Fan blows HARD. Thats nice. Radio is there, its a Sony CD head unit. It works, but I have never used it. Has 2 door speakers, and 2 speaker holes below the rear seats that I will probably put speakers in. head unit will also be replaced.
On a scale of 1 to 10 I give the electrical system a 6. Just about everything works, but there are a few things that need to be addressed.
Interior:
Front seats are in pretty good shape. Very comfortable, and only a few small rips. Rear seats are also in good shape with just one small rip. Carpet is faded. Door panels are in pretty good shape, not perfect. Dash is almost perfect. Headliner is a bit dirty and the sunroof doesnt have a headliner at all.
On a scale of 1 to 10 I give the interior a 7. All in good shape for now, but it will all be replaced.
Exterior:
There are no major dents or dings, The paint still has good shine. There are a few small rust spots. nothing major at all. Parking lot door dings are on both sides of the car. All is there and intact.
On a Scale of 1 to 10 the exterior rates a solid 8. Nothing needs immediate attention.
