Merry Christmas to the 2002! She gets a new Alternator! My philosophy for restoring this car has been to upgrade anything that goes bad and the Alternator has given up the ghost so I am following my philosophy and upgrading the Alternator to the Bosch AL116X. This is the early e21 (77-79) alternator that will bolt in, but needs some slight modifications to the wiring. It has an internal voltage regulator so no need for the external unit that is standard on the 2002. It was a straightforward install and for the first time I have a video of the upgrade!!! Enjoy.
